Car started 2 whistle after intake install
Do anybody know if its normal for my C5 to whistle after install a fast manifold intake. I did buy knew gasket and car idles fine. Car did pick up a couple tenths at track but whistle when r.p.m.'s goes up. I checked for leaks with carb cleaner all checked out good.

That's the downside of the FAST intake. Both my son-in-law and I upgraded our rides to ZO6. I used the GM LS6 intake - no whistle. He used the FAST - it whistled. The FAST comes in 2-3 parts. He had to take it apart a few times to get the whistles at the corners out.

dont know what to make of it, but i have my stock LS6 manifold and as i depress the throttle, i hear a high-pitched wistle also. not sure if we are talking about the same sound, but, my two cents.

It may not be a vacuum leak. Air tumbling over a sharp edge can cause a whistling sound. I put a BBK on my Z28 and intitally I had a pronounced whistling sound. It turned out to be the gasket between the the TB and the manifold. Part of the gasket was protruded into the neck of the intake. I cut the gasket down flush and no more whistling. I don't know anything about the FAST but perhaps you have a sharp edge somewhere.

Mine whistles too---If you call or E-mail FAST--they will send you a write up on the fix for the whistle---They attribute it to the sharp edges in the T-Body opening--It is an easy fix --Most all of them whistle so don't feel like it is a problem--It kinda sounds cool anyway--I eventually fixed mine according to their instructions--and it quit-----
