Now I have a sound that sounds like a lifter ticking. I was told this is normal with a cam. Its a blower cam if that matters. CAn someone tell me if thats true.
My stroked LS6 sounds like a sewing machine, and it has brand new lifters if that makes you feel any better. Cammed LS1's are generally noisy. I would check your pushrod length, just to be safe.
The sewing machine sound is normal with a cammed LS1. Especially if you have dual valve springs. What you're hearing is the valve closing events. If you have headers that sound will be further amplified.
