Is it okay to cut and splice the maf sensor wires that run from the throttle body to the maf.I hate those wires laying accross the front of the motor.Thought i would cut them and splice in longer wires so i could maybe reroute them out of sight.
Im wanting to run them down the frame and then over to the maf.I just think them laying across the radiator top cover and then down to the maf looks like crap.
So long as you use quality wire of a matching gauge, and you make clean splices, I can't see that an additional few feet of wire will make a difference.
Be sure to get good splices though ... if you do some 1/2 azzed (and I'm not saying you would ... just pointing out the problem) splice that causes voltage variations in the wires then the MAF signals could be off and then your PCM will throw codes.
