Default Electrical Gremlins - Bill Curlee?

'01 Coupe, 110,000 miles

About 6 months ago, the Security light came on. I checked the codes and get B2723 both as history and current. Resetting it just causes it to go current again. This is one of the three PASS-Key codes. It has no bearing on the driveability of the car. It starts and runs fine. More of a nusience than anything else.

Then, about three months ago, the turn signals became erratic. Sometimes they work, sometimes not. A slap on the dashboard above the radio will get them to work when they are broken.

Yesterday, the AC was blowing hot on the passenger side, and cold on the driver's side. After shutting the car off and restarting, it worked OK.

I'm thinking maybe the ignition swtich is worn, and some of the contacts may not be working, or a loose ground behind the dash.

Any thoughts?

I haven't heard about that one. I will do a search.

After searching, there must be a hundred posts about this problem. Weird that I never heard about it before. I think I can solve this one.

Any ideas about the PASS-Key code or AC?

That slap on the dashboard makes me remember one of Bill Curlee's posts about the accordian tube in the driver's door-jam. There is a wire there that has problems shorting out to the frame. You might want to look there.
