Please help me!!! my 1999 C5 corvette engine has no spark at plugs!!
The car used to run fine untill I had the front end off, radiator out electrical harness unplugged from engine, computer and cam sensor, battery was disconected when this was done! So when everything was back together it would not start! Cranks over, fuel sprays from injectors, but no spark! Does it need a relearn of some type?? I have checked all wiring connections and fuses, relays. Engine check light comes on with key on . I'm frustrated please help, Im afraid to take it to the dealer. It has to be something simple??????
The PCM is a flash memory computer, having it disconnected will not do anything. So, don't worry about that part.
Check the codes and see if you have any. Make note of what codes you have, clear them all and try to restart. Then re-check.
IMO its something pretty simple, but could you go into more detail of what kind of work was done? If its something simple you may have forgot to tell us about it LOL...
If you would have asked 24hrs latter I may know more, going to study the coil pack connectors tonight for a 'issue' that I'm causing myself
Anyway, also fill out out avatar, there may be someone near by that could help you out. Also, a good place to list your mods to help people see what could be causing an issue
sound like you have an issue with the cam sensor, pull the code from the DIC and post them back....
Make sure the cam sensor connector is correctly installed

Thanks I will check the cam sensor plug and then code's and repost!
Check grounds. If you had harness unplugged, make sure all are clean and propperly plugged in. Grounds on back of head can cause this I believe. Keep us posted!

K
It will still start without the cam sensor, it will crank over several times but it'll start.
Something is still disconnected, go back over every connector that you had off and reseat them.
There is a ground for the injectors and coils at the back of the passenger head. Make sure it's there and solid. It usually goes behind the A.I.R. check-valve mount.
I think on the '99, that ground is on the rear of the driver's side head. I have a '99 and there isn't any grounds on the rear of the passenger side head.
Yep, I have a 2000 and the ground is on the drivers side.
Is it a MM6? Do you have the clutch pushed to the floor?
Keep us updated.
The clutch pedal position switch will not kill ignition, it completes the circuit to the starter relay. So if he didn't have the clutch pushed all the way in the car won't crank.
