Default After headers who's changed their catback/mufflers?

I have corsa pace car tigersharks and love my tips. The car however when I get on it seems to be getting a little loud for my taste now that I have been driving it a few days. Who has changed out their catback/mufflers to make the car a little quieter? I am not sure if getting Z06 Titaniums is the answer. Also anyone know if corsa tigershark tips could be welded onto the Z06 Titaniums if I did go that route?
Would love to hear some before and after stories.

Thanks

Hi Xtreme,

I just installed the same headers as you last week. I have the Ti exhaust, no cats. It is civilized at idle and no drone, but plenty loud when you get on it. I think it is a good compromise.

Im running Dynatech headers with cats and Magnaflow catbacks, and they are very civil at idle and around town, but wake up nicely at WOT

I had LG Pros without cats and a Borla Stinger cat back. After a few months of screaming at my passenger I went ahead and put cats on and a Z06 Ti exhaust. I love the sound now - it's nice at idle but fairly loud when you get on it.

As to your second question, Ti is difficult to weld. You could do it but you need to make sure you get a qualified welder to do the job.

My wife's corvette has LG Streets, high-flow cats, X-pipe with Borla Stingers. The drone is very loud between 1350 - 1700 rpm or greater than 25% throttle. During these times we have to shout to be heard.

Keeping out of that zone isn't too bad--we can have a normal conversation at 2000+rpm or drown out the annoying ricer buzzing at will

Stainless works Long tubes, Stock Cats and H Pipe, Ti Exhaust. No drone and I am very pleased with the exhaust note. The interior is quiet at cruise but a nice growl when I get on it.

I had stock and went with a set of Corsa Indy's. They had a little too much bite after LT's so I put on a set of Ti's for a while. Too quiet so I put on a set of GHL Magnum Plus (quieter of the two) and loved those for a while until I thought I'd go stealth for a bit and put Ti's back on. Missed my loud pedal and just today put a set of DMH low profile cutouts on the car. Now I can be quiet when I want and ridiculously loud when I want.
