Default 1999 Exhaust

I installed my GHL bullets last night and was going to install a corsa x-pipe but noticed that the car has a non stainless x style pipe already.
Will it be worth cutting off that pipe to install the corsa on a stock car ?
Also the muffler pipes come pretty close to the rear bumper, are they going to melt it ? Its about a inch away from the bottom edge.

I wouldn't bother changing out the X-Pipe, not worth the effort / expense at all on a basically stock LS1 in my judgement.

Secondly, I have the GHL Bullets on my '00 Coupe, and the four exhaust pipes are indeed pretty darn close to the underside of the bumper cover. Actually mine are closer than an inch, and I've not seen any evidence of burning, and it's a white car, so if you have an inch clearance, you should be OK, based upon my experience.

If it already has an aftermarket X pipe on there, don't bother with swapping it.

I don't think your tips will get hot enough to melt the bumper. My "tips" are about 1/2" from the bumper (and have more surface area closer to the bumper than other exhausts out there), but it is actually one peice of aluminum. Aluminum conducts heat pretty well already and being one peice I think it would retain more heat than your individual tips. It hasn't negatively affected the bumper, so I think yours would be fine as well.

Thanks for the reply, just wanted to be sure before I melted my bumper cover.
