I hooked up a meter in series on the negative side of the bettery (pulled neg wire, hooked meter up in series there), and started pulling fuses one at a time. No budging, 1.37 amp draw. Needless to say, my Optima red battery is dead in two days if I don't drive the car. I have pulled everything in the fuse box and it's still happening. What shall I try next? Any advice appreciated, and thanks.
Are you pulling fuses under the hood and in the foot well too? Try disconnecting the charge wire from the back of the alternator too. Maybe an issue in the rectifier inside the alternator.
although this will not help your problem it will help you determine if you have solved it. gm says there should not be more than a 30 milliamp drain after the car has been off for 15 minutes or more. there is also a reflash for the pcm or bcm for this condition in one of there technical service bullitens.
