passenger side floor board compartment by firewall
I just noticed this...even after owning my vette for almost a year! There is an inspection/cover hatch on the passenger side floor board up towards the firewall. It has 2 latches similar to the trunk storage compartments. Inside I saw a fuse relay centre?, and a PCM looking computer.
Can anyone shed a bit more light on these items. I'm kinda embarresed that I just stumbled on to it and did'nt even know it was there.
Re: passenger side floor board compartment by firewall (C-5 TECH)
Thanks C-5 Tech, the BCM, OK. But the fuse box, this is another one? There's the main one under the hood by the battery, what's contained in this one or why is there 2?

That's really funny! I just found mine last week. I haven't had my car quite as long as you, but I have had it for a few months! I was hoping it was full of cash, but...it wasn't :D
Re: passenger side floor board compartment by firewall (mjager)
This past summer, while driving out-of-state on vacaction, I had the evaporator drain clog and water back up into the evaporator case. The water dripped into the compartment you cited, and ruined the computer. It also immobilzed the car and stranded me. The design and placement is a very poor design.
