Drove the 2000 Convertible to Lowes to pick up some supplys (the C5 is the Lowes car).
It didn't want to start and the SECURITY light was lit, even after it did. Drove it to the Publix, and it didn't want to start there at all.
I thought it was the neutral safety switch, so I wiggled the shifter. No luck.
I thought it might be the steering wheel lock, so I wiggled the steering wheel. No luck.
I tried to get into the diagnostic mode, but got into the key fob training menu and re-learned the fob, then paged through the tire sensor menu. Then I unlocked the doors.
After that, the car started right up.
When I bouught the car, the column lock had been fixed. The pin has been removed. I don't think it was a column lock issue.
