Default Having problem trying to check codes

I have tried several times to manually check the codes for my car because I got the "Service Active Handling" message in the display of my DIC. The problem I'm having however is that nothing happens when I press the sequence of buttons.

In other words, when I turn the ignition on (without starting the car)press and hold the "options" button and then press the "fuel" button four times nothing happens; I don't get the history of codes like I should.

If anybody here has experienced a similar problem or is able to explain why I'm having this difficulty please chime in.

Thanks,

-RR

Is it even entering the code reading mode?

All I can suggest is to push the fuel button 4 times within 10 seconds (I do it in 5) ... maybe you're hesitating too much. And make sure you're pressing the buttons firmly to ensure they register the push.

1) Turn on the ignition but don't start the engine.

2) Press the "RESET" button to turn off any warning messages

3) Press and hold "OPTIONS"

4) While holding "OPTIONS", press "FUEL" four times within a 10-second period.

dgrant3830replied to my thread in the Genral section and his solution to try with the motor running worked. That's the first time I have ever had this problem; all times before worked as outlined above by you and others. Weird but at least I got to read my codes and clear them out.
