A similar effect happened to me on another car...I inadvertently pick up my wheel cleaner and sprayed my windshield and rear window with it thinking it was windex...Turns out the wheel cleaner contained some sort of acid and slightly (very slightly) etched the glass. All appeared normal except at night when the sparkles and halos would appear. I could also detect a slight distortion in the glass if I concentrated on an area.I contacted my insurance company and they replaced the glass and mouldings minus the deductible. (It was out of warranty). This is thesame effect that acid rain has on glass and finishes by the way. Now being very new, I have a hard time believing it was exposed for vey long to any acid rain, but it only took one spray of the wheel cleaner a few minutes to make a difference. Needless to say I read very carefully the ingredients of all my cleaners and use sparingly and appropriately. I would see the dealer...Don't think anyone would give you a hard time about it, particularly as this is a safety situation. that could mean that you were driving behind something that through alot of sand on the car at high speed and caused all those little specks. thats what happens but it's weird that you only have so little miles on it. take it back and compain.
