Cleaning a Vortex-- Do you really take it apart?

Cleaning a Vortex-- Do you really take it apart?
Is that the only way to clean a Vortex air intake? I mean, do I have to remove those bothersome screws at the bottom of the plastic cover that take forever with a tiny screwdriver, or is there an easier way to clean it? Thanks in advance. :cheers:

I drive mine up on rhino ramps and clean from under the car!

You don't have to take the cover off. You can loosen the filter clamp and pull the filter out from underneath the car. Turn it sideways after you loosen the clamp and it will slide right out.

You don't have to take the cover off. You can loosen the filter clamp and pull the filter out from underneath the car. Turn it sideways after you loosen the clamp and it will slide right out.
