I went to east coast supercharging last week for my first ever dyno test and tune...here are my results
HP pre tune-323.9
HP post tune- 331.0
lbft pre tune- 343.6
lbft post tune-349.3
I will scan the results soon. I am very happy with the results though!
My vette only has CAI, headers, high-flow cat, X-pipe and borla exhaust.
I would like to know what you guys think.
My '99 coupe baseline@315rwhp with just CAI, Stinger and on stock tune. When is the last time you checked your spark plugs, oil, and wires? Are you running on big wheels (19's , 20's)?, that would make your numbers a little low. Good luck
Had my Vette back on the dyno because of excessive popping on decel, the car sounds fine now. I noticed the tuner hooked up to my 02 sensor just behind of the cats this time opposed too the tailpipe. Is this for a more accurate reading? Is this called wideband tuning? The car was on the dyno for almost 2 hrs total going thru all differant rpm ranges. 355rwhp-367 rwt, LT headers ,hiflow cats,Blackwing,Corsa exhaust, 6speed trans
Those numbers sound about right. For those that think the numbers are low, the 01+ had the LS6 intake, so they tend to dyno 10-20hp higher with the same mods.

With our load bearing dyno we take off the wheels so they do not come into play

An average stock six speed dyno's right around 310 at the wheels, the car has headers and an airbox, do some of you really think you will pick up 40rwhp from that?? Maybe on a happy dyno, but not on an accurate one.

probably more on the 10rwhp side, but there is still a difference.
Remeber that HP is only a number and I realize that since it is the only tangible piece of evidence that we did something to your car it should be used as a guideline only. How your car performs on the street and at the track is much more important than the number itself.
I can give you one recent example - Ikester has a beatufy car and has always shown lower dyno numbers. Well lower is not really fair lets say he shows lower numbers on our dyno versus other comparable setups from other shops (who has the correct numbers is still out for judgement), but ask Ikester how his car runs and how his car pulls on many cars with much more hp and you can see right away that he doesnt care what the dyno says because he knows his car is faster.
I'm in SC now but will be going home on leave in a few days. I may come out to you folks in NJ to have my car looked over and tweaked. It runs ok now but I feel that with the right touch I may be able to get it where I want it.
Also, could you take a read at this thread and see if this makes any sense to you??
