ah ok. despite all the reading and the changing of clutch fluid every 4 miles.....what I have seen first hand is....ditch the stocker clutch. I have a tex with stock master and slave...no pedal issues at all.
Yeah - It's not the Stock Clutch. I have a '97 Coupe, this is a new LS6 clutch with maybe 10-20k miles on it. (Just to clarify it's not the original)
I believe you mean "Ditch the GM Clutch" then right?
If i get a new one, it will not be Textralia, I've seen how they treat their customers 1st hand and will not risk getting ripped off by them like so many others...
Yeah - I never had problems w/ mine until after the Dyno Tune w/ Crappy fluid... (and a Shift point change to 6500 from H/C/I swap)
You've got my pessimistic side all worried that my glorious clutch won't stay glorious for long... hehe. Last night was the first time since Sept of last year that I got to run through the gears uninterrupted!
well, my bud has a stock ls6 clutch and he shifts at 7k...no issues, but every ls1 clutch i know has had it. I havent had to deal with Tex cuz mine has been wonderful....so far. but if you have heads and cam and you will switch it out someday, id do a tex or a spec 3+. they are both great pieces
