Finally got the mod'd M/C line in. Mine was done by Goodridge as are the More Performance lines. The difference being I ordered a New M/C and sent the line to Goodridge myself. The advantage seems to be that you do not get the GM Quick Disconnect on the More Performance line since they make theirs from scratch. Can be an issue if you ever want to remove it without dropping the tranny... Dunno how else you get it off the Slave without the Quick Disco??
Mine was made just a bit short, but did fit. Also my mech mentioned it'd be better if they moved the wider junction closer to the slave as it was a bit too close to the steering.
Feel is MUCH improved on the Clutch Hydraulics. You can tell a BIG difference in how fast Hydraulic Pressure/Fluid returns after a shift. Returns FAST. Feels great. Still breaking in the tranny. Will see how it takes successive high rpm shifts in the future here shortly.
I now have an extra Stock 2000 M/C Line if anyone would like to purchase one to send to Goodridge for the mod. New mod'd one went on, old one came off. Will let it go for a reasonably low price. mjarnold@telocity.com Will forward the necessary Goodridge contact info.
I'm glad to see that everything fit and worked out for ya! Your description of how it feels has got me psyched about my new M/C line. Now I wanna know if it is noticable when powershifting...Keep us posted.
Just gotta get my shift linkage tweaked a bit, then I'll be happy I think! I think you'll like it. New M/C is in as is the Synthetic Brake/Clutch fluid.
Just a new 01-02 M/C. Needed it for the new line so the car wouldn't be down while it was at Goodridge. Had the new one mod'd, then put the new M/C in too, cuz I had it. ;)
