Thud from the left right

Thud from the left rear
I started hearing a thud coming from the left rear. Has happened a couple of times in the last week or so. Usually when I was turning into a parking lot. U-joint, spline nut not tight, .... hard to tell exactly where the noise comes from. Ideas please. 
Update: It will make the thud when you get into and before you start the engine now.

You should fill out your profile as it might help. A "thud" type sound huh...hmm..Get under there and look at the sway bar bushing clamps/bolts and make sure they are tight and the bushings are in good shape. Then check the all of the bolts associated with everything on that left side paying particular attention to the balljoints and the hub itself(all three bolts, T55's). After that, about all that is left is the half-shaft although I'm thinking the sound would happen more often.
