I lowered my car all the way in the front on stock bolts, and left 2-3 threads showing in the rear...still had some serious 4x4 stance going on.
Few days ago I cut 2/3 of the front bushings off, and lowered it all the way in the rear. Went a little lower, but there's still 2-3 fingers of wheel gap in the front!
I've driven 200 miles since lowering it, so I would imagine the suspension would have settled by now...any ideas?
Did you measure a base so you could determine how much drop you have now? How far is the air dam off the ground? I may be the tire you are running is a low profile and so I believe you would have more wheel well space. Just a coupe of thoughts.

To get the front any lower you would have to totally remove the adjustment bolts. I personally wouldn't recommend that, but there are plenty of guys that do it. I went with the C6 front bolts (lowered max) and aftermarket rear bolts. I am very happy with the look.
Post some pics if you can so we can see how much 4x4 action still resides.

matt,
i removed my front bolts and cut the rear 2/3 and have 2-3 threads showing. i couldnt get the look i wanted by keeping the front bolts and not cutting the rear. i love how it looks now!
I just cut the front bushings and bought some longer bolts for the rear. I don't remember if they were 7/16 or 1/2 inch bolts but I bought them at the John Deere store.
Damn that looks sick. Did you put anything between the front control arm and the leaf spring?
not yet. i have two pices of rubber about 1/4 inch thick to put in there but havnt yet. i need to though cause i get a little noise from the drivers side.
Matt, looking at your before and after pictures, I'd say that your car and my car started off the same height and are now at the same height. On mine, I went as far as I could go on the front adjusting bolts, and left 2-3 threads showing in the rear.
Yes, from a looks standpoint I'd like to be a little lower, however I didn't go any lower, as I have the active handling and didn't want to mess up the shocks.
It took a lot more miles than 200 before mine finally "settled" on the stock bolts with bushings left in. I would drive it a while longer and see if she comes down some more.
