please help. my 97 is leaking gas from under the driverside right behind the seat. is this something simple or something major? just noticed tonight, any help would be greatly appreciated...
It's probably a fuel filter connection. Whatever the problem is, it needs to be fixed ASAP. If the connection pops off the filter while running, it's going to spray gas in a rapid manner.
Mine leaked like a faucet MAKE SURE YOU REPLACE BOTH NYLON RETAINERS

Mine did this too. Luckily it happened in my driveway. One of the plastic retainers on the line had disintegrated. Got a new NON GM filter (can't remember which one it was but check old posts as I described the procedure in detail) put NEW retainers on BOTH sides of the filter and that was it. Its very tight working up there so take out the two muffler to pipe bolts and SLIDE the muffler away when you are working.
No need to remove the muffler just unbolt it. Did the job in about an hour. BIGHANK
