Default Corsa Tourings, Long Tubes = nice!

Just got done changing out my Corsa Pace Car Tigershark for a Corsa Touring Tigershark. At first I was really nervous. One of the clamps wedge itself up against the frame of my car when I installed and new tourings and I didn't notice it. So when I started it up, it sounded like I had a major exhaust leak plus the car rattled really bad and shaked too. When I would shut if off, it made a god aweful noise like marbles. I have a 6 speed so what I think that noise was just the normal way the car sounds when you shut it off and its in neutral only amplified heavily because of the exhaust vibrating against the frame of the car.

I fixed the clamp issue and went out today and I was very impressed and surprised at the difference a stupid clamp resting up against the frame would be. Also that noise I feared coming from the engine also went away.

As far as difference between the pace car to tourings. Night and day. The car is just about the same sound level it was before I put my headers on. It might be a tad louder but not much. If Iam just cruising around its no louder then stock. BUT as I found out today, when a chevy 4x4 lined up next to be with some big & loud exhaust, once I get on it and the rpms jump anywhere over about 3000, the car screams quite nicely and lets it be known, Iam by no means stock! Not only that but 70 seems to come in about 5 seconds now lol. My hope to keep the car more of a sleeper worked out quite nicely. It is almost like I have automatic dumps that open at 3000rpms. You can definitely hear and feel the car kick in nice around here.

So if anyone is on the fence and has basically a stock car but is thinking of doing exhaust and maybe headers on down the road, I encourage you to think first about your mods later on. This will save you time, money and effort in the long run.

So Iam now officially part of the Corsa Tourings and Headers club!

Oh yeh, got my fire extinguisher mounted now, added a waterfall emblem and painted my gauges to match. Today was a definite successful corvette day!

Welcome to the club!!

Corsa Touring catbacks, headers (AR's in my case),and an X-pipe ROCK. In my opinion, it is the perfect balance for a DD. From minor rumble to screaming banshee.

Enjoy them!

I have the Dynatech Supermaxx headers, cats, and x-pipe into Corsa Touring and I love the sound/volume.

I've had Touring for a while, but i recently put Kooks on the car, along with some other goodies. I fired it up last night and revved it a few times. WOW! It was loud

That is my setup - Kooks LTs, x-pipe, hi-flow cats and Corsa Touring.

Sweet!

For you guys with headers: comparing the Touring and Pace models on Corsa website, the Touring sound somewhat "muffled" and lower pitched than the Pace when accelerating and reving. Do they open up with the headers? I've got a very high HP '02 ZO6 (422ci) and I'm looking for a deep throaty idle but a high pitched scream at top, but I don't want it rediculously loud in the car unless I'm on it. I was thinking about the Pace and my LTs and x-pipe w/cats but I wondering if that's going to be too loud?

They are a great exhaust for a daily driver. Works quite well for a Heads/cam car also ! Driving daily is NO problem !

I however am not driving my car daily, and I removed my Corsa Touring in place for GHL Bullets last night. I wanted a little more sound. Once I get myself organized, they will be on the forum for sale.
