There is a procedure to reset the column lock fuel cutoff on here somewhere. Maybe a search will turn it up?
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...l+cutoff+reset

That thread suggests reprogramming the key fob?

Not sure. Didn't have time to read the whole thing, seems like a simiar issue

And make sure you read this sticky all the way through

Mine did the same thing a few years ago. The DIC displayed "pull key 10 sec" I think it misread the chip in the key, because I've had my collum lock serviced as well. Mine just seemed to go away after two times. I had just replaced the battery.

2 MPH fuel cut-off ..... due to column lock

First thing to do whenever your Corvette has ANY kind of problem .... check for DTC posted in the car's computers. Here is the procedure ....

https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=26&TopicID=1

List all the codes here.

Second, read the sticky at the top of this forum regarding the COLUMN LOCK. Your car will not be driveable until you address this issue ... your PCM will cut off the engine as soon as you reach 2 MPH until this is cleared. The BCM is telling the PCM your column lock is engaged.

The security system kicked in, that's one of the lame A$$ fixes GM did, they removed the lock plate but kept this feature as "SECURITY"-car will start and die above 2mph. Time for a visit to the dealer then a CLB.

Re set you fob.....hold down the lock & unlock buttons until the car beeps, then unlock & try it. Only on earier C5's but we see it quite often.
