Well, Darn...Body Shop Time
My high mileage '99. Thursday night on the way home from work, with about a half-second warning, I ran over something on a freeway transition ramp. If I have to guess, it was probably someone's missing bumper. Right side of the car grabbed it and thrashed it thoroughly as it made its way out the rear of the car at about 75mph. No way that I could have avoided this as it was black and in the dark. I quickly checked the brakes, the the TPS and all was good. I got home a few minutes later to find the right front fender, just behind the wheel well as trashed. Also inside the wheel well, a support panel or mud guard was severely cracked. It also decided to mark up the outside of the passenger door.
All this just over two weeks before I give the car away to my son, "NightDrv", when he arrives on the 19th. I dropped it off at the body-shop this morning with instructions its got to be done on the 19th or before.
