Yet Another Abs/trac Ctrl Post
my codes: c1214 c h and c1234c h.
okay..my first step is to swap wire harnesses(if they reach) from rr and lr abs sensors to isolate if the sensor is actually bad.
then im going to check all grounds on chassis.
then i am going to clean and reseat plug for ebcm.
my main question is....if i am throwing that c1234 code "LR SENSOR OPEN OR SHORTED" ...could that also cause my c1214? "ebcm". i called chevy about the abs sensor(just in case it is bad), and they say i have to buy a whole new hub for $224(i guess it could be worse). but, if anyone knows where i can grab one of these w/out the hub...let me know.
if after all of this does not fix my prob-im yanking my ebcm and sending it to absfixxer.
so again(to make a long story longer
) 1) could a bad sensor be also making car throw a bad ebcm code?(even if ebcm is good)
2) where can i find an abs sensor w/out having to buy/install whole new hub?
No, generally a C1214 is a problem internal to the EBCM. External issues such as a bad wheel speed sensor will not trigger a C1214. Chances are that you will need to send the EBCM to absfixer.

Unfortunately the wheel speed sensor is an integral part of the hub. Even third party products from auto supply companies such as Napa are sold as an integral unit. Usually, however, the problem is a wiring problem. Check the wiring connectors carefully, that usually fixes the problem.

The EBCM electronics use a different power and ground circuit in the EBCM. Errors that show up in the electronic side of the EBCM will not cause the BPMV power circuit relay in the EBCM to go bad.
Bill
wheel bearings/sensors rarely fail, I've never seen one
these cars like to eat ebcms,1214 and the front harnesses
