Service Vehicle Soon
I got the Service Vehicle Soon message today. There were no other problems as far as I could tell. I never checked the exterior lights but everything inside was working and I've had no other bad gauge readings or warning lights. The car has been OK so far this spring as far as I can tell.
Anyone have some further insight into what causes this message above what the manual says?
I still have to check the codes but will be doing it later today.

You need to check the codes to narrow down the reason the SEL came on. This site might be of help once you download the codes.

It could be as simple as not resetting your oil life % monitor or overfilling your gas tank or not tightening your gas cap sufficiently...
