The receipe for 12.35 ET
New personal best in REDGAR today at ATCO.
New mods,
Pro Torque 2900 stall converter
3.42 take off rear gears
Vette Doctors custom tuning
Results...
12.35 @ 110.74 with a 1.700 60'
"Lookee, lookee, I got Hookee"
Looks like the car will settle at 1.72 regular 60'.
Ripped off 6 runs in the 12.41 to 12.44 range.
In November, pre mods, I ran a bunch of 12.9's with the one fluke 12.66.
New mods I say netted me half a second. .50 with the new mods
I am done modding for the winter (except maybe hashmarks)

Nice run Edgar. I hope you can continue those 60' times with your set-up. I think the Viper can do that or a little better if I can get it to hook-up. Enjoy the holidays and once again good job. :cool: :D

vstella, pardon my ignorance but what would a transgo shift kit do for me that cannot be done with custom tuning? Shift points have been changed and firmess is changed so what am I missing?

REDGAR....The Transgo kit will give you a "quicker" shift and firm up the shift as well.The Powerloader PCM programming will set the shift points but do not interface with the shift kit. The Transgo kit is a mechanical change in the shift quality itself. The line pressure and solenoid action can only be set to electronic parameters set by GM. The kit will allow you to modify the shift durability and firmness to your choice.They do this by replacing parts and drilling out the 2nd,3rd,and 4th gear feedholes in the valve body of the 4L60E C5 Transmission. I chose 2 spacers in the accumulator for a street/strip application.It worked for me after installing the 3.42's and the Pro Torque and Powerloader II..:D
