Default HP Tuner 2.2 question

I have a Diablo Predator download installed in a 01 Z and would like to use a HP Tuner 2.2 to just change the fuel shutoff from 2 mph to 256 mph. Can this be done? Must the factory tune be re-installed first or not? Are there other options?

Are you talking about the "top speed limiter " ? The top speed limiter shuts the fuel off to control the speed--As far as I know ALL corvettes have the Top speed set at Max value from the factory--They do this because they come with Z rated tires stock ( Top speed limiters are in place because of the tire ratings that the vehilcle comes with---most cars have tires rated for 98 MPH--

No,I'm talking about the clb GM recall that checked the workings of the steering locking plate then re-programmed for the fuel to cut off at 2 mph for my exported 01 Z. I have read here that HP tuner version 2.2 can "change" the 2 mph to what you choose. But I have a predator diablo tune at present so can the HP tuner software be used with it or must I go back to the stock GM tune. Also are there any other options to increase the 2 MPH cutoff? Thank you for any help guys.
