What ET should I expect from my stock '99 FRC? I'm 64 years old and still a pretty good autocrosser but I haven't been on a drag strip since before they had Christmas trees! Tonight will be a first for me. I usually launch at around 2000 RPM for autocross with street tires, just enoungh to keep the car from bogging down. With a sticky drag strip, I am guessing that I may need to bring that up a bit. It will be in the high 70's and dry tonight. I hope I don't get laughed out of the park when I try to do a burn-out...
if you car is stock you wont see anywhere near low 13's. 13.5 i would think is even going to be tough. a completely unmolested 99 as mine is ran a best time of 14.1 seconds. and for what its worth, why in the hell would you want to do a burnout. the 99 will launch fine without a burnout. simply drive around the water box and right up to the starting line. on the 1st yellow light, let it rip. that should give you a good reaction time without red lighting. dont know who you will be racing but my 99 smoked my buddies 07 mustang gt last summer by more than a full second. by the way, DONT FORGET TO TURN THE TRACTION CONTROL OFF.

My 92 would run @ 13.7 all day long without being extremely aggressive.
I'd guess that it wouldn't be out of line to look for 13.2 to 13.4 with a decent 60'.
Your time could vary up to a half second depending on the track conditions and weather. Best to ask someone in your area that is familiar with your local track. Example: "The Strip" at Las Vegas, my car will run 12:60's in cold condition and 13:20's in the extreme heat of summer.

Great advice. Maybe that's why you're running 14.1?
Even GM's official figures on the vette (conservative) are 13.2-13.4sec.
So I ran 13.5 in my 99 with the Diablo tuner box performance tune AND I forgot to turn off the TRACTION CONTROL!!!! How much do you guys think that hurt me?
Well I have a NHRA Lic' , been racin for 30+ years and my 88 Mustang GT runs 9.0's at 155 MPH, so I'm rookie at goin down the track! SO I FORGOT IT HAD TRACTION CONTROL! GIVE AN OLD FART A BREAK!!!

I was testing 0-60 times in my car two years ago and noticed that with TC on the times were consistently 0.3 seconds slower on my '04 A4. I would guess that this is pretty standard.
