Recently when I start the car something isn't working, last night started the car low fuel light came on with 1/2 tank, turned the engine off and re-start problem fixed. Came out of restaurant started car head light doors would not open, turn car off re-start problem fixed. Could this issue be a bad battery? I have only owned my car since Dec, not sure how old the battery is, any suggestions?
You could have the battery load-tested. You might have two different problems. Have you been putting some Techron into the tank like every three months? The deposits in there will cause issues with the sensors. On the headlight, the headlamp switches do seem to fail. Trying turning them on/off using the switch and see if they respond normally. If they don't, then its time for a new switch. Now one more thing to look for, headlamp related, is if they are turning on, but not raising. Usually that is the headlamp controller.
Hi, many electrical gremlins can be the symptoms of a failing battery. Before running in circles, have battery load tested, to confirm it is still strong. Check the cables, and the connections at both ends of both cables for cleanliness, and proper tightness. If all that is good, you than should check various grounds. There is usually a date code on most batteries that can tell you how old battery is. If it is more than a few years old and it's a low mileage car that has not used a maintainer the bat is a likely culprit. Also Batteries in hot climates have a shorter lifespan because of the excessive heat
Good Luck
