Nice cool day, no traffic - went for it. One of the best rides I've ever had. The car seemed to squat the faster it went and felt even better. That's it for awhile though, will look for a course to become a member of the 150 club (wife asked me to cool it on the open highway).
Yeah. I must be getting old. Was going down I45 to Galveston on Saturday and hit 125 which is pretty good on that highway to get an open section like that. Seemed like I was going pretty fast. I think I have to get back out to the track before I become an old man! :D
Snowman,
That's what the better half just doesn't understand. I was on an adrenalin high for about 30 minutes after my run. That, along with my 4 grand-children, is what keeps me 49 years young. One of the best highs I get since I don't any drugs or alcohol is me and vette in 3 digit numbers.
VERMJPV,
First I'm very particular about when and where. I live out in the country and have a couple of state hwy's that are flat and straight for at least two miles. I can see the only side road coming onto the hwy for at least 1/2 mile so I have plenty of time to slow my speed if a car approaches. Another rule of thumb I use is that if I can see a car ahead of me at any time during the run I brake down to the speed limit. Don't do it often, but I do enjoy it.
ZAP - good comment
JB - nice ride with some serious ponies (wife tells me I have to give up the mods or my guns, for 645 ponies it might be the guns).
