Chg. my anti-freeze with new extended life Dex-cool followed the Service Manual for 2000 Vette / Engine Cooling page 6-345 did it three times and I also tooke the top radiator hose off and filled the top hose to the Eng. and still the top radiator hose keeps collapsing. When Eng. is up to 210 the top / bottom and heater hoses are hot. There not much pressure at all when I remove the surge cap. Never noticed this before as I clean under the hood all the time wiping down the hoses, etc.. Could this be a weak radiator hose. Drove car and does not over heat. I also left the surge cap off till it reached 210. No Luck . ANY IDEAS. THANKS

Hoses collapsing might be an indication of the pressure cap "surge cap"?? (on the reservoir) being defective and hoses being old. The radiator might also need inspection.

If the upper radiator hose is collapsed after the engine cools, the vaccum relief valve in the cap is defective.
