Default Help! Traction Control, ABS, Active Handling lights coming on

I've been to MTI in Houston and they told me that is might be due to the 18" wheels I have all around. I couldn't leave it there for them to fix it.

The dealership here in New Braunfels replace the front left sensor and this didn't fix the problem either.

The lights turn on at around 40mph, everytime I go out.

Any hints to what it might be before I go back to a shop?

I took it to the shop today, the service guy sat inside the car for about 5 minutes and said he'd taken care of it. Nope.

Thanks.

Just a guess but dosen't the CPU read what you are doing as tire slip? The car is set up to read revolutions on all 4 wheels and do a comparison anything out of a certain range is considered loss of traction. The computer is set to factor in the difference between 18 and 17 wheels. Now that you have 18" wheels on the front all the wheels are turning at the same rate. But the computer expects to see the front wheels turning at higher RPM?

So it could be computer related?

Because that's messed up too.

Can you put the 17 tires back on temporarily?

Since you switched tires, are your new tires front and/or rears taller/shorter than the old? If they are more than 1 inch (if I remember correctly) different, the change in wheel velocity will drive the computer nuts. The computer needs to know about the size difference(s).

Also, have you checked for any trouble codes?

The EBTCM has to see a 6mph wheel speed variation to set a wheel speed related code :yesnod: 18"s all around wont give you a 6mph variation :nonod:
Your fault is elsewhere...Steering sensors and wheelspeed pigtail harnesses are the common faults :yesnod: Any codes?????
