I JUST PUT ON MY NEW CCW WHEELS, TIRES, NEW TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS. ECT.. THE CAR HAD AFTERMARKET WHEELS WITH NO SENSORS IN THE OLD WHEELS. HAD THEM FROM THE FACTORY.. HOW DO I GET THEM TO WORK AGAIN? THE MESSAGE SAYS-SERVICE TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM. ANY HELP TO GET THEM WORKING AGAIN WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! THANKS, ROB
You need to retrain the tire pressure sensors. You can enter the tire pressure training through the DIC and just follow the steps that the DIC gives you. You will also need a decent magnet to trigger the training response. Make sure that you have the compatible pressure sensors for your car. The '97 - 00' are different than the '01 and up.

NOPE ... that ain't his problem .... the sensors might be on different locations and will need programming ... but the car should be reading them without "reprogramming"
To the OP ..... have you driven the car to "wake up" the sensors since you put the new wheels on ??? If not take it for a 5 minute drive and see if the car starts reading them again.
If it still is not reading them ..... who "installed" the sensors ????? Did they use a torque wrench to tighten them to 62 inch/lbs in the wheels ... or did they just "gorilla" them into the wheels. If they overtightened the sensors they may have broken all four of them.
I did take a ride after installing them. The wheels came straight from ccw with the correct sensors for my '99. I cant imagine that they overtightened them. (Hope not for the cost) Anyway, the car didnt pick them up from the drive.??

The car will NOT read the sensors until programmed to do so. If he was putting his old sensors back in, then yes, the car would see them (maybe on the wrong corners if installed in new locations). If these sensors are new (or new for your car) you will need to go through the training sequence before the car can see them.
Now, if they were previously programmed out, you will need someone with a tech II to add the feature back in on your car. When you didn't have the sensors on, did the car come up and tell you there was a problem? If so, you should be fine just training them. Here are some instructions.....

I just did this, very easy. For the magnet I went to Harbor Freights and got their big one and 4 little ones. On 2 wheels just needed the big one on the other 2 had to use the big one and a little one. Got it done on the first try. You do have to hold the magnets to the wheel for about 15 seconds and in some cases a little longer, at least I did but got the beep on all 4 and no codes. Oh by the way the magnets only cost like 12 bucks for all of them.
