Default 402 Stroker Heads and cam

I want to get some new heads for my TSP 402. Im going with the N/A setup and i want to be close to the 500rwhp. What are the best heads and cam setup? I need the compression to be about 11.2:1.
TSP has some good pricing on CNC L92 heads but i will need a new intake manifold with that. Let me know what you think

You should not have any problem getting to 500 rwhp if you pick the right heads and cam.

You need to think about them together, as well as the intake and throttle body. Recommend you talk to a couple of reputable shops such as ECS or England Green among others.

You could also run a search to see what others have done or post another thread asking for specific recommendations.

There are several good sources for heads such as ETP, AFR, and TEA.

I know that ECS, England Green, and LG motorsports offer good cams.

But like I said earlier, you looking for a package that works well together.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, Id like to know what head/cam setups go well together. I called Texas Speed and Jasan says the L92 head with a 238/244 cam will get me to the 500hp mark. There are others that work well together also.
Does anyone here have a setup they can brag about?????

Cartek 4X setup has seen 500rwhp on stock bottom ends and the track performance to back that number up.Throw that setup on a 402 and you will have one heck of a motor. I'd give them a call.

^^I would keep away from the L92 heads myself. If you go with them then you end up with the L76 intake, which seems to choke off power around 6100 to 6200 rpm.

There are lots of combinations out there making when more than 500 rwhp. Give ECS a call. They have a great rep.

Ran a search for you. Here are a couple of threads.

Thanks for the info. There are alot of diferent setups with good results.
I will make some phone calls. I already bought a FAST 92 with a 92 TB so it makes sense to stay away from the L92 for now. Im going to look into those CNC'd 243 heads.

This guy made 510/470 (honest numbers) on a baby cam mild build SDPC 403 using WCCH (ProHeads.com) Stage 2 L92 heads. It will roast the 315 rears through 3rd gear but drives like stock. It makes 380RWT at 2200 and 400 from 3k on up.

With L92s and L76 intake done by us we've seen 515 RWHP on a stock bottom end and 580+ RWHP on our stroker engines with streetable cams. So getting over 500+ RWHP will be no problem at all.

Give me a call and I can go through the many options with you and get you fitted into something that suits your needs best.
