Default milling stock heads

I got a 2003 Z06. The car has LG street headers catless with borla stingers. I also got a cam the specs are 230/228/591/591 112lsa. How much can i mill the stock heads? Thanks guys

Not worth the time or money to have it done, you are only looking at 5-6 rwhp if you do. Get some aftermarket heads instead.

You could probably mill them .025 -.030, but as stated above it's not really worth it unless the heads are off for some other reason. Aftermarket cams can have a few degrees of error in them so always check for P-V clearance with eack individual application.

I dont think the stock heads give you enough valve clearence for that. Personaly I went with TFS heads, which are 13degree heads, and milled them to 60cc.

We do extra milling in our stage 1 cylinder head setup all the time. I'd expect you could hit them .020" or so at it's best. If your looking for some extra power we offer cnc porting/valve job & decking of customers ls6 heads for $600!! It'll probably cost you 75-100 just to mill them, so $600 is a pretty reasonable investment for a 20+rwhp gain over stock ls6 heads.
