Default Problems after sport seat conversion

We've just replaced the standard power drivers seat with a sports version but all the little airbags are not working when the controls are operated. The relays are clicking though. Also the motor to adjust the tilt and forward/backwards control is working correctly.

Do I need to change the seat control unit as well when I standard power seat is replaced for a sports seat?

PS my control panel on the left door doesn't have the seat memory control switches and I believe the chair has some sort of memory function because when I insert the key it is changing position...

PLEASE HELP!!!

greetings,
Rob

Check minifuse #3 in the Instrument panel electrical center. The connector that goes to seat pump should have 12 volts on pin "K" and a ground on pin "A".

I'm pretty sure the only issue you should have is with the memory. You can help the situation by turning off the easy entry option in the DIC.

I put sport seats, don't know the year, in my 2000 coupe, all functions work except the memory issue.

Are you sure the seats worked? Could the bladders be bad?
