Default radiator overflowquestion- kinda dumb

i tried to take off the cap on my overflow the other day and i could not get it to unlock. i pushed down and turned, just turned and it will not unscrew. seems to hit a stop. is there some trick? i have owned the car for a 2 years but have never taken the cap ff. no real need to do so other than curiosity and reading on the form about changing anti-freeze. i know, shame on me! be nice, i am embarrassed enough already!

got plenty to do that with but it felt like it was hitting a stop ccw so i didn't want to jump on it and break it. you dont have to push it down or nothing, eh?

Default Me too!

I just got a C5 a couple of weeks ago and went through the same.

Do I just get down on it and twist it off or what is the trick???

These caps are kinda of tight maybe due to the rubber seal.
