Default Adjustment to hatch sensor?

The DIC is telling me that the hatch is open when it is not. I have not tore into it yet, and I was hoping on here someone would tell me how and make my life easier. It is very annoying driving down the road and the interior lights are flashing on and off.

Default Hatch control switch

Hi, you may have a bad hatch control switch. Below is a diagnostic procedure.
Good Luck
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
DTC B2573 Hatch Release Switch Circuit

Circuit Description
The hatch release switch circuit provides a direct battery input to the BCM when the switch is pressed. This input allows the BCM to detect a hatch release request. If the BCM detects battery voltage on CKT 1576, the BCM will energize the hatch release relay. The BCM monitors the hatch release switch circuit and determines how long voltage has been applied.

Conditions for Setting the DTC
The BCM detects battery voltage on CKT 1576 for longer than 60 seconds.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets
Stores a DTC B2573 in the BCM memory.
No driver warning message will be displayed for this DTC.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
The BCM no longer detects battery voltage on CKT 1576 for longer than 60 seconds.
A history DTC will clear after 50 consecutive ignition cycles if the condition for the malfunction is no longer present.
Use the IPC clearing DTCs feature.
Use a scan tool.
Diagnostic Aids
The following conditions may cause an intermittent malfunction:
There is an intermittent short to voltage in CKT 1576.
The hatch release switch is shorted to voltage internally or is sticking.
The hatch release switch is pressed for longer than 60 seconds.
If CKT 1576 is shorted to voltage with the ignition ON, the hatch will release once and then will remain inoperative. If the short occurred when the ignition was turned OFF, the hatch will release as soon as the ignition is turned ON and will then remain inoperative. The BCM will remember the last transition that took place from the hatch release switch and will not release the hatch again until the BCM detects a change from the hatch release switch.
If the DTC is a history DTC, the problem may be intermittent. Perform the tests shown while moving related wiring and connectors. This can often cause the malfunction to occur. Refer to Intermittents and Poor Connections Diagnosis .
Test Description
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table:

This test determines the status of the hatch release switch using a scan tool. The scan tool will display the hatch release switch status as ACTIVE (button pressed) and INACTIVE (button released).

This test checks if the hatch release switch is shorted to ground or stuck. If the hatch release switch status changes from ACTIVE to INACTIVE when the hatch release switch is disconnected, then the hatch release switch must be replaced.

The hatch does not pop open at all. and it still functions fine off of the switch, and there are no dtc's present. While driving the dic will say hatch open the interior lights will come on but the hatch is closed, and it will do this on and off.

Hi, it appears as if you may have a bad hatch release solenoid, that is intermittently opening while you are driving. Either due to it not being adjusted in its place properly, or being corroded and not depressing properly., or possible an intermittently grounding wire leading to that rear compartment solenoid. Or possibly Micro relay #42, but more likely the solenoid. If it is not a bad solenoid or intermittent short, than it may be the rear BCM
Good Luck
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Rear Compartment Courtesy Lamps
The rear compartment courtesy lamps are used within the courtesy lamp feature. The BCM activates the CTSY LP Micro Relay #42 by grounding CKT 690. Battery voltage is then supplied from the CTSY LP Micro Relay #42, through CKT 740 to both of the rear compartment courtesy lamps. When the BCM experiences a courtesy lamp request, it activates the MONITORED LD Micro Relay #43 in the instrument panel electrical center by applying a ground to CKT 690. This causes battery voltage to be applied to CKT 740 and to the rear compartment courtesy lamps. The rear compartment courtesy lamps will then illuminate. The rear compartment courtesy lamps are grounded by CKT 150 through Splice Pack #302 to G302.

Convertible and Hardtop
Removal Procedure

Open the rear compartment.
Remove the rear center carpet panel.
Mark the location of the latch to aid in installation.
Remove the bolts attaching the latch to the latch bracket.
Remove the latch.
Installation Procedure

Notice
Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

Install the bolts attaching the latch to the latch bracket. Tighten
Tighten the rear compartment lid latch bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

Route the manual release cable down to the rear center floor stowage compartment.
Install the rear center carpet panel.

ok as far as a bad hatch release solenoid , the hatch works fine, no problems. It opens when I say open and closes fine just sometimes it does not read closed. So now can you provide me with where to adjust the solenoid? where it is etc.

Sorry did not mean to adjust solenoid physically, meant possible corrosion or an internal intermittent short in it. My fault for writing it wrong. It is possible that the solenoid is shorting sending a door ajar signal even though it is not actually opening the hatch at the time.
If I were trying to determine if the solenoid was bad, I would unplug it for a while and see if the light went out and no ajar signals came through, use the pull cord to open it for a while. If that didn't work, then I might look to the micro switch.

I spent an few hours tonight searching for solutions, i have this same problem on my recently purchased corvette coupe. The interior lights remain on, the hatch opens when pressed, even on the key fob.

When the hatch is closed, the centre console displays the "hatch open" message.
I currrently have both selonoids unhooked, hoping that they may reset. Does anyone have any other suggestions, other then completely replacing teh selonoids.

Sorry this has to be one fo my first posts, but I appreciate anyone's suggestions
