C 5 hazard switch button removal??

C 5 hazard switch button removal??

how do you remove the push button cover on the hazard switch when replacing the switch behind it?

Service Manual quote: Remove the hazard warning switch from the center air outlet.
CAREFULLY release the switch retaining tabs from the rear of the air outlet, then pull to remove the switch. The hazard warning switch button will release from the switch.

thanks but how do you get the front cover off of the switch so you can get to it? I am going to replace it using the take out radio method and not taking the ac vent out..

Front cover (with the hazard symbol) just pulls straight out.

I had this problem last year, or was it the year before? Time flies when you're toolin' down the bulivard in a vette!
