Re: How do I Disable Tire Sensors Without Error Codes? (CABNETMAN)
I am running Z06 wheels/tires on my 98 coupe. We could not get the sensors to work on the Z06 rims. I have been told i need new O-rings to solve the problems. For the mean time, my local vette mechanic programmed my car using another C5 to program my computer. I just put my sensors in a zip lock back & put them in a rear compartment. I only had to reprogram 1 time in the 6 months they have been on the car. I'm not sure exactly how it was done, but it was not that hard. Hope this helps someone- SCOTT

IF you have your sensors in a zip lock bag. How do you keep pressure in/on them?? Don't they report that you have low tire pressure?
Re: How do I Disable Tire Sensors Without Error Codes? (maroon94)
Maybe it works like this: as the tire sensors are not turning in the bag (what they do when on the wheel), they do not send an information concerning pressure. But the car will recognize, that they are there. Same thing happens, when you are in your garage and let the engine run. In this case there will be no "Check tire system" on the DIC. So what maroon94 says seems OK. I´m also running Z06 wheels on a ´98 and I will take out the sensors out of my MAGS to try it. Thanx
