changing 99tpms to 2001 and up
if all 4 tps ,rfc,and key fobs are changed will every thing work right? my 99 has passive lock system this can be turned off.all parts for 2001 and up are so much cheaper would this be a good idea or not

There was a post about this recently. Some Ebay vendor offered a kit with 4 TPMSs, 2 fobs, and 1 reciever. It worked. Only point that was not clear TO ME, is whether it was 2001-2004 parts OR 1997-2000 export parts.

Yea, it's all plug-n-play, as long as you change all the parts you mentioned with a set from '01 and up. The "kit" on Ebay states "export" parts. They look just like the late model sensors, however I believe the part #'s are different. My only conccern with that kit is replacement part availability. Might get part #'s and check with GM about replacement FOBs, etc. Otherwise, it has worked fine for several members.
