Default Stock CD changer won't eject CD mag

Ok, here's a question for the gurus that I couldn't figure out.

I did my double-din mod a couple months ago. Just before I left, I remembered that my CD's were still in the CD changer in the back. The unit still had power because when I opened and closed the sliding door, it would cycle through all the CDs. However, I cannot eject the CD magazine! This may be some kind of theft deterent because it is no longer connected to the stock radio.

How do I get the CD magazine out of the changer manually? I'm going to be removing the changer completely anyway so I'll take it apart if I have to. Any ideas?

This has happened to me a couple times now. In fact my changer is in the back and has been jammed for about a year ( I do not miss it ). The first couple times it jammed I had to take it out of the back ( pain ) and take the outer cover off to free up the jammed disc. It worked for a day or two then jamm's up. If look at other commits on the forum I think everyone would agree it would make a great boat anchor.

Great, now I need to buy a boat to go with my new anchor?!

I'll try taking apart the outer cover to get it out when I get home, thanks!

I had this happen once before and ended up disconnecting the changer (the plug on the bottom of the changer) and then reconnecting it after a minute to get the mag to eject. Not sure if it will help in your case, but may be worth a try.

Default Isn't there a way to get a cartridge out of the changer with no power

Have a changer I removed which still has the cartridge in it with CDs in the cartridge. How do I get the cartridge out? Is there some hole you shove a paper clip in or can you use a putty knife and how? BIGHANK

I may try reconnecting it, it was my last option. I have to take apart my double-din to redo the parking brake ground anyway (it still enables the safety feature so I can't change the nav settings while moving).
