Will 25 CFM make a big difference with a cam?
Hi, I have a 01 Z06 with Kooks Headers & a Halltech CAI. It Dynoed @ 369/370 on a Dynojet, with the 3.42 gears. I want to put a cam like a 224/230 in it & thought about having a really good valve job & a little milling to bring the compression up to 11:1. The fellow that does the heads says it will gain 25 CFM flow, does that make a lot of difference? These will be the last mods on the engine as everything else gets too expensive(FAST Intake). Thanks

what's he charging for the valve job & a little milling..?? With the labor involved to pull the heads, you'd be better off selling the stock LS6 heads for $500 and spending the $$ on a new set of patriot CNC ported LS6 heads with 59cc combustion chambers.. Patriot heads are new heads, with new valves and dual springs for only around $1200... And if your putting in a cam you need the springs anyway..
