Diff makes funny noise

My diff seems to be making a swooshing sound when Im in gear and turning, but only one im in gear. I have a 99 FRC stick shift. Does this mean my diff is craping out? I changed fluid and put an additive and that didnt help. And if it is going out god forbid I have to change it what is a good beefed up one I can get because I plan on going forced induction later on, and I want one that can handle the power, what would be a good one to get???

If you want a good beefed up one, RPM transmission builds a nice one. Same with DTE. Make sure you get the DTE brace too.

I had the same issue. I replaced with gm fluid and 1 bottle of anti slip. I added a second bottle and now I have no noise.

Add another bottle of anti slip and see if that fixes it.

I would try it.. did you run synthetic or regular gear lube?

I used redline synthetic fluid and there additive for the posi track and still didnt work is the GM fluid better?

I've been using non synthetic with the regular GM additive and have not had one complaint.. so thats what I stick with. If a customer wants synthetic used we will. However I caution them as I have heard many complaints of clutch "chatter" while running synthetic.
