ALL this just after I went to the carwash. Now it works fine. SO....dont get your C5 wet.....:crazy
Maybe someone can help here. Whenever I use the key FOB to lock the car, the Horn Alarm comes on. Then when I hit the brake pedal the dash lights come on (during the day) as well as the front running lights go off and the brake lights do NOT work. Also when I turn on the headlights, the tasilights are inop.......the
Anyone know what the deal is...?????
Oh I have a 2000' C5 convertible.

Chief, wish I could come up with an answer...best bet is for you take it to dealer whom you trust and hope that their "electrical tech" can figure out the problem. In the meantime, if it doesn't happen unless you use the FOB, don't use it and just lock the door by hitting the lock button (the alarm will activate, etc.) and then use your key to unlock.
I don't have my service manual in front of me to verify anything, but the first thing I would do is pull out my BCM and open it up. It is in the passenger footwell and is very easy to remove. Look for moisture and corrosion on the circuit card.
