Default Intake Manifold Install

How to reinstall the low torque bolts on the intake manifold? Chevy manual says LocTite. "Expert mechanic" at dealership says to just bolt it on?

If LocTite, what color?

Thanks to all.

My Pantera is faster. The Vette is much more balanced.

I just bolted mine back together after working on the knock sensors. If your worried, I'd use the medium or low hold locktite.

I've always been told to use the red (high temp).

Use blue. If you use red, don't expect to get them out again.

I think blue would be appropriate for this application.
That's what I used.
Red is the super-high-strength stuff usually associated with head studs, cam sprocket & flywheel bolts - stuff that you absolutely want to stay in place under high stress.
I can envision perhaps snapping one of these little long bolts in half if you loaded them with red, then tried to remove them in a couple of years.

That being said, these would probably be just fine with nothing on them, if they are properly torqued in sequence to the specified value
(44 lb-in, then 89 lb-in). Not a lot of load here, and good flexible rubber seals to help them hold tension.

Just removed them again after 4 years. They came out with just a little force. Not bad though.
