I know others have posted about gauge probs, dont see any post recently so maybe someone can help; My gas gauge dropped suddenly from about a 1/4 tank to empty, chime went off thats when i noticed, the 'check gauges' light came on, when i got to a gas station to fill uo it took 14gl and when i started up to leave gauge went rite to fill. Whats up with this? This all happened when i made a heavy braking attempt from about 50mph to 0mph in a very short distance seconds after that the chime came on, i wonder if the sending unit got sloshed foward or somthing like that.
Iv found the archived post about this prob, i see there are a couple of '02's having this prob also. And i see there is a TSB on this, not looking forward to the trip to Mr. Goodwrench. :mad
Mine has done the exact same thing twice. Just below a 1/4 indicated the needle goes to empty and I get the chime and check gages. Only takes 13 or 14 to fill up. With so many horror stories about dealer service I just keep the tank above 1/2. :(

What insenses me about this is I've seen '99 Owners post problems wih the Fuel Sending Unit. And now they are also happening on the 02's? WTF GM!!!
