Default How to remove power steering rack??

I am working on a cam install and at a stopping point. I have the power steering lines unhooked, the 2 bolts on the side of the rack out, and the small bolt on the yoke loosened. I cannot get the thing to slide up out of the mounts far enough to allow clearance for the crank pulley.

I searched some and didn't see any specifics

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!!

Need to pop both tie rod ends off the knuckle and slide the whole rack out the passenger side wheel well I think... Slide it out enough to access the balancer.
Be carefull not to break the mounting ears on the cradle when you pry the rack out of them or when you reinstall it......

Congratulations you're at the hardest part of the install!

I had to remove the bolts for the ABS system as well to facilitate the removal. You're going to want to pull it through the passenger side wheelwell. You don't have to remove it, just remove it far enough to remove the crank pully. You will need to rotate it as you move it towards the passenger side. Removing the sway bar might be useful and I think you might need to remove the power steering assembly as well.

The only way I could see breaking these mounting ears would be by using a kung-fu grib. They are pretty beefy.

That would absolutely ruin my day if I broke those off...didn't realize they were that fragile...I didn't exacly take it easy on them.
