Feels like a sloppy, slow engine.
I'd like to get the engine checked out thoroughly, anyone have any idea who I can turn to for this?

If you're not mechanically inclined, the local dealership can provide all of the services stated above. There are also DIY threads on all of the above as well.
. I'm gonna hafta go to the dealer...I contacted them...I know they're known as "Stealerships", but i've been dealing (for a relatively brief time now, but they seem great) with Paul Conte Chevrolet in Freeport New York. I talk to Tony there, I believe he's the service manager. Very respectful guy. I'm a young looking kid (28 years old..I look about 21 lol) and he treated me with respect, which is hard to find when you look young and everything is "adult run". Despite that, I got great service and the staff is friendly and easy to talk to. Additionally, they don't at all mind when you bring in your own stuff, they'll install it for you. I came in with my own quarts of oil...they did the change, charged me barely over $20...which is high, I know...but hey, I can't complain..it's only about $20
. I need my belts and pulley's changed...I told them i'll be coming in with Delco's...Tony said it was fine and that they'll do the install.I give a hats off to them.
Back on topic: Great! Any other things it could be? Any other little things "here or there" that I should look into?
