Default Speedometer / Instrument Cluster Question..

Hello,

Is there a way to program the instrument cluster so that when you turn on the key it goes in to METRIC automatically. Right now whenever I get in, I have o select metric on the dash. Can this be tricked to start in KM's?

Thanks in advance...

Does your speedometer gauge read to a Maximum of 200 or 300 ???? If 300 the car is a "metric" vehicle and should start in that mode .... if 200 the vehicle is an "English" vehicle and starts in that mode .... I believe cars specifically built for sale in Canada are supposed to start in "metric" mode (along with the headlights being permanently set to run off the Twilight Sentinal .... the option to "personalize" the Twilight Sentinal is not available on Canadian cars).

Eh ???

Actually, I've got a 2000 FRC from the USA and it'll start in whatever mode it was before I turned the engine off.

I believe the 97-99's will default to their respective units.
