Have been reading up on cams and ran across Comp Cams. Don't seem to remember hearing much about them on this forum. Perhaps it's just me. In any case, what experience have any of you had with this cam? How does it compare to the others we hear a lot about? Appreciate the help and thanks.

I haven't put anything in the Vette yet, so I can't comment on their LS1 cams, but I've used their products in other applications without any problems. In fact, they appeared to be exactly what they were advertised.
As far as durability goes; if they can withstand my little brother's abuse for the last seven years, then they will be just fine with "normal" people.

I have a comp cam in my car and love it! It is an extreme energy and has some aggressive lobes. I highly recommend these cams. Nicely priced and will build a cam to your wants and needs. Give 'em a serious look!
Been around for YEARS, and a few of the MAJOR builders order them custom from Comp...............
I have never heard a negative on Comp Cams..............
I put a custom grind (my specs) Comp Cams cam (dubbed the "Trooper Cam" on LS1.com) in my 1999 Camaro SS and couldn't have been happier with it. It's a great A4 cam. Not too big, minimal idle problems, with very level power across the entire upper rpm range.
As stated above, they've been around a LONG time and have an excellent reputation.

Maybe I should have perused LS1.com more often...could have named my custom ground cam the Daisy Cam. :) Anyway, what are the specs on your old cam?
